In addition to the recently revamped current range, Skoda will be expanding its model range with the introduction of two all-new models in 2012, but we are yet to know the names of either of these two models.

According to the Czech firm, belonging to VW, the first of the two new cars will be a very compact and very family orientated city car based on the Volkswagen Up! concept car, built a few years ago, with prices that could be based as low as £5000.

Later on in the year they have confirmed that they will also be making and releasing an all-new hatchback providing massive competition for the likes of the Ford Focus and the Mazda3.

This model will cover the middle ground in between the Fabia and the Octavia in Skoda’s range, and is likely to be around the same size as VW’s latest Golf, therefore giving the company a more traditionally proportioned small family car to add to its range.
